HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

I have just had the most wonderful day today. I went on a picnic with my Mother and all our wonderful family. We decided not to travel too far and went to a park at Pymble in Sydney. There were walking and bike tracks, playing fields, flying foxes, and all sorts of fun play equipment. The kids and adults all had fun to the max.

It really was the most perfect day, even though the weather was a little overcast, it couldn't have spoilt our day. We had 4 generations of our family there.

My niece introduced us to her new boyfriend and I have never seen her so happy. I think this one is a keeper. Stay tuned for further announcements.

MELLY & ME

I have added some extra Melly & Me patterns to the site. There are now 14 softie patterns and 4 bag patterns with more to come so stay tuned. I just cant get enough of their work, and I am sure that you will love it just as much as I do.

I am so, so excited, the new Melly & Me patterns have arrived. They are oh so cute, I am going to have to make them all. Hmm when will I ever get any sleep.

Melanie Hurlstone & Rosalie Quinlin are the clever girls behind these patterns, and their collaboration on these fun designs has proven to be a big hit in the ever so whimsical world of softies.

I have been looking all over the world to find some patterns to list and the best patterns that I have seen anywhere come from right here in Australia. MELLY & ME by Rosalie Quinlin and Melanie Hurlston. There patterns are fun and quirky and quite edgy and I want every single one of them in my stash of patterns.

The patterns will make you smile and remember your happiest childhood moments. You can of course make them for kids but my little creations are going straight into my bedroom the kids are going to have to wait for theirs, if I can ever bare to part with them.

Each creation will have its own personality as you choose different fabrics for their clothes and bodies. I cant tell you the delight these patterns have brought into my life.

MADEIRA STRANDED EMBROIDERY FLOSS

Good news for all the embroiderers out there. I have just introduced Madeira Embroidery Floss into my product range and I have to report that I am really happy with the quality of this thread.

The pullout "STICKTWIST" pack is so easy to use, it eliminates knots and having to wind threads onto a bobin.

I have a fantastic colour chart that is too large to show on this site but if you would like to have a copy I can email it to you in PDF format. It is 21 pages and is very comprehensive. If you would like a conversersion chart from DMC to MADEIRA then I can give you a link on line. The colours are not an exact match to DMC, so if you have already started a project then you should continue with your thread choice. Madeira is a great way to start a new stitching project. I urge you to consider Madeira for your next embroidery project, you wont be disappointed.
